Who Is Behind One Direct Democracy?

Transparency is important so I want to provide a direct answer to that question.

One Direct Democracy [“ODD”] is the political arm of IIMAGINE. I am the founder of One Direct Democracy and IIMAGINE. 

Neither I or One Direct Democracy or IIMAGINE have any affiliation with any political party or any corporation or any religion or religious organization. 

There are also no external investors and I have no co founders. It’s just me.

So the only question left is – what is my political bias? 

There is no party that represents my views because I am on the left when it comes to social issues and I am on the right when it comes to fiscal issues. 

There’s a lot of people that have this political profile and I did consider starting an independent political party to represent them. 

But I eventually realized that starting an independent party that operated within a Representative Democracy framework won’t solve any problems. 

It will just be another version of the same political garbage.

I’m not trying to tell you what to think

My goal is not to tell you what to think. My goal is to take the power away from politicians and put it in the hands of the people by using Direct Democracy.

If the people have the power they might decide to vote on issues in way that’s contrary to my own views. 

In fact, they might even decide to do something completely stupid. I’m prepared to live with these consequences. 

If the people have the power they can vote for something and see if it works. If it didn’t work, they can vote to change it.

As for my personal views, I’m not going to pretend that I don’t have any. 

I’ll express them in my Podcast and in the videos on this Youtube channel but it’s important to understand that they don’t matter in a Direct Democracy. 

I’m not running for office anywhere in the world but, if I did and I won, it wouldn’t make any difference to anything because I would have no power and you, the people, would have all the power.

I’m not trying to sell you anything

I’m not trying to sell you anything. Some people might think that my goal is to make money from licensing software to people that want to setup ODD in their region or country.

Nobody has to use my software – I’m happy for them to just copy my ideas and give me nothing. I just want to see the power in the hands of the people.

The main reason for creating the software is not to sell it. It’s just to prove my concept, demonstrate how it can work and make it available for people that want to start a Direct Democracy party without having to waste time and money inventing their own framework, developing new software and committing to updating and maintaining the software on an ongoing basis.

If you want to do all of that on your own, go ahead and do it. I don’t care. I’m not trying to sell you anything. I’m just making the option available for people that want it.
